JSA's chief instructor and owner, Skip
Chapman, has been teaching Aikido to adults
and children in the central New Jersey Area
since 1994. Chapman Sensei currently holds the
rank of Yondan (4th degree black belt) and is a
Shidoin (Certified United States Aikido
Federation Instructor).
In addition to teaching at JSA, Chapman Sensei
travels around the world studying closely under
many of O Sensei's most famous students
including Yoshimitsu Yamada Shihan,Chief
Instructor of New York Aikikai. Unlike many
other martial art schools, Chapman Sensei is
the primary and Chief Instructor of all programs
taught at JSA and is assisted by the following
substitute teachers when traveling.
Paige Chapman
Co-Owner Program Director
Paige Chapman has been training in Aikido since
1995. Mrs. Chapman holds a masters degree in
Speech Language Pathology and currently provides
instruction for Pre-K and elementary school-aged
children. As Program Director, Mrs. Chapman is
highly influential in creating age specific programs
based on her experience as an effective teacher in
the public schools.
